Based in Toronto, Ontario at the beautiful and newly constructed Union Sound Company, Alex Gamble is quickly becoming one of Toronto’s names to watch in the recording industry.
Alex’s detailed approach to music making began with his background as a musician; writing and playing as a guitarist, bassist, and keyboardist in bands across a wide variety of genres. He has since transferred those skills toward helping other musicians realize their visions in the studio as a Producer, Mixer, and Engineer.
Schooled by some of the best producers in the world at the Nimbus School of Recording Arts in Vancouver, BC, he was taught early in his recording career how to capture the unique character of analog recording equipment, while still harnessing the power and efficiency of the digital world. Technology aside, Alex’s main tool lies with his passion to search out the musical moments that make a recording special. Whether it’s finding the perfect emotion for a vocal, the warmest guitar tones, the most explosive kick drum, or crafting the perfect arrangement, Alex can help shape your music into everything it deserves to me.
Alex’s ability to tailor his approach to each artist’s unique needs is quickly making him one of Toronto’s go-to engineers, with a quickly growing list of clients to show for it. He has worked on recordings with Fucked Up, Selina Martin, Tasseomancy Adam Giles Levy, Germaphobes, Ben Hermann, Sarin, Eons, and Bruce Peninsula to name only a few.
